The Riddlers of Rhythm have been around longer than you think. Forming in 1997 under the name the Upstate Drum Syndicate, they proceeded to grow as any band should. Unlike most bands though, the Riddlers were comprised of only a Drummer and, a Percussionist....you would think that the options were limited. With major advances in Drum technology, the band managed to find an outlet. Electronically enhanced Hip-Hop w/ focus on the BEATS as opposed to the M.C. (though they did try to kick a rhyme here and there). After a few attempts at gaining a following w/ their first EP: "11K" and, thier first MAJOR album: "The Story Runs Deeper" (which is currently on sale), the band decided to make a few changes. The format was to become something new. Something that not many artists have done before. Reverting back to the concept of "throwing a bunch of ingredients into a stew to see how it tastes", the Riddlers put Hip-Hop to the side and went back to the studio. With their second album: "The Last Trading Post Before Mexico" on the way....the world can only sit and wait.
